We had Christmas lunch at Ravenswood. The experience table food were all exceptional. First class and amazing for such a large number owe always have Xmas lunch at an hotel or restaurant and this was beyond better than previously experienced Very many congratulations to Shaun who very kindly gave us the table we requested the outstanding chef and of course the waiting staff managed I think by Sammi. Very well done to all. Not only will we be booking for next year we will revisit the restaurant purely for the chef. If I could give more than five stars I would. BRAVO and thank you. We have recently returned from a weekend away at Ravenwood Hall and felt compelled to leave feedback. Let me start by saying that the Hall is set down a long driveway in the midst of beautiful grounds. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a charming young lady called Daisy who was warm and welcoming. Just what we needed after a long drive up from London. We were early so grabbed a drink at the bar and it was here that we met the lovely Samie! He too was friendly, warm and attentive.A charming gentleman who absolutely made our stay so much more enjoyable. He gave us a history of Ravenwood Hall which was fascinating! Nothing was too much trouble and even though it was busy, he always made time for us which was great! The food (breakfast and dinner) was amazing … compliments to the chef. The lounge was a joy to relax in, particularly with the roaring natural wood fire. Very cosy. We had a Mews room which was ok. Perhaps a full length mirror attached to the inside of the wardrobe door would have been useful as would a hook on the bathroom door. Minor niggles. All in all, an enjoyable weekend. Would we come again? Absolutely! If only to experience Samie’s hospitality. He is a valuable asset.

The updated lounge and bar area is lovely, and it all looks beautiful decorated for Christmas. Plenty of parking, and perfect location for us visiting a nearby food experience. Sammi as always deserves a special mention. He's polite, funny and always gives excellent service!

We stayed at the hotel for two nights for a friend's christening and a chance to relax a little bit post a busy few months. The location is great, with lovely gardens and the hotel is very much traditional but nice and cosy. All staff we spoke to over the two days were really friendly and helpful. We only had breakfast each morning and it was fine, although service was slower than I felt it should have been. Selection was good and the quality of food was good too. My one downside is the room we had sat above the toilets which resulted in hearing the hand dryer each time it was used, and for some reason the background music started playing from 4 or 5am resulting in a early wake up for me. I am a light sleeper so some may not have heard it, but I just felt it wasn't needed so early in the morning.

Had an amazing time at this hotel. We booked a room that allowed us to bring our little Jack Russell. Although she is a very nervous dog, the staff went out of their way to befriend her, which helped so much! I have no hesitation in recommending this venue to others, especially those who require accommodation with their dogs.

Such a lovely place with the best of staff who couldn't do more to help. The rooms that aren't in the main house though do need some soundproofing. You can hear everything from the neighbours. Its just over 5 mins drive to bury st edmunds and has a beautiful café and garden centre next door called roots. Is walkable in about 10mins as parking is very busy there. Breakfast was lovely and was charged at £12 each although on the menu it said £18.95/each. Good range of cooked breakfasts along with continental but make sure you go down in the first hour of breakfast being served.

Lovely experience from start to finish. The roast beef was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was great, and it was all made even better by Sami — friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Would definitely return. Boxing day with the family here was fantastic. Thankyou team.
